Is Highschool of the Dead worth watching?

So I'm just wondering if Highschool of the dead is worth watching? like is the plot good enough to keep me interested or not.

If you're ok with it being left on a cliffhanger and never having an actual ending then sure. Ita good imo though the fan service aspects make the tone weird. The plot doesn't really go anywhere

It’s a good but don’t watch it expecting a well written story because it doesn’t really do that. Watch it for the over the top action, gore and tiddys. Don’t take it too seriously and you’ll have a fun time

It's very well directed and there are actually a few characters who have surprisingly good character arcs

Depends:

• Are you fine with a lot of fan service? (Nudity and implied sex included).

• Are you fine with a non-ending with no chance of continuation?

• Do you like zombies?

• Do you like minimal plot?

It's not so much the plot as it is the execution. It's just throughly entertaining. Like shut off your brain and just enjoy.

Despite the ecchi being pretty good, there's too much action for my tastes.

Do you like fan service?

If so then yes!! It’s one of my favorite series. It’s well done. The zombies are well thought out. And it’s shows the downfall of society well (honestly some parts reminded me of the pandemic).

Having said that, there is one scene in particular that is so absolutely ridiculous. And unfortunately it does leave off on a cliff hanger. The mangaka passed away before it was completed.

I recently seen it a few days ago, the ecchi is nice but the plot and characters aren’t the best.

Fun dumb show. Think evil dead 3 level. Probably to much silly fan service but definitely worth a watch.

I found watching dub and sub feel different.

YES, It’s Worth It… If You Can Survive The Cliches

It was hard to up come with this answer but overall, it’s worth it. I feel like most people in the anime community have seen this and it just feels right to know what the anime is.

“Ending is not satisfying”

You’ll reach the ending and you’ll enjoy the anime. But once you finish you simply won’t be satisfied, I won’t go into detail so I can avoid spoilers. Watch it and you’ll understand.

“Common Ecchi…”

Indeed, it’s an ecchi and harem cliched sh*t fest! You’ll have the same harem cliches and most next episodes will be easily guessable.

“Memorable”

I can’t deny that some scenes in this anime aren’t memorable, they are just super funny or inappropriately beautiful. These are the points in the anime that you will be left with, and you’ll also find a lot of community create memes and gifs around these scenes. This is what’ll give you your love/hate relationship with High School of the Dead.

High School of the Dead is a cliched and rather standard anime. But it is an anime that all anime fans should watch due to how anime communities sometimes use this as memes and gifs for fun. The ending is not satisfying but certain scenes will be memorable. High School of the Dead receives a 6/10.
