Post updated on: 08/11/22 Attention racers! The highly-anticipated runDisney race schedule has been released for 2022-2023. Here is a rundown of the upcoming runDisney races along with dates that tickets go on sale. Image courtesy Disney You will note that Disneyland races are not listed on this schedule. That is because runDisney announced a few years back that they will not be organizing any races at Disneyland in the near future due to construction and other logistical concerns. Currently, the only resorts with races scheduled at them (or recently canceled) are Paris and Orlando. If/when Disneyland brings their races back, you will see them here. I will be updating this post as new races are announced, so be sure to check back often for the most up to date info. runDisney Races 2022-2023 Upcoming Race Schedule:runDisney 2022 Walt Disney World Resort Races:

About the Author
Craig SmithI am founder and editor of DisneyNews.us. My passion for all things Disney goes pretty far back to my first trip to Walt Disney World in the mid-80's. I have since returned to the magical place more than 20 times. I started this site when I came to the realization that I spent a significant portion of my day reading articles about Disney and watching Disney content with my 8-year old, so it made sense that I would start sharing some of what I read and see and building a little community around it. Other interests include 80's nostalgia, vintage toys, video games, LEGO, Star Wars and tech gadgets. Other sites include DMR and VideoGamesStats.com. Runners and non-runners alike love runDisney events! Train, dress up, spot your favorite characters, capture breath-taking views of the parks, and cross that finish line earning a one-of-a-kind Disney-themed finisher’s medal. And the best news of all? Disney has announced the return of in-person runDisney events at Walt Disney World! Each of the races also offers virtual race options for those most comfortable running at home or for those who simply can’t make the trip to Disney World to race in person. These runDisney events are very popular and sell out quickly, so be sure to plan accordingly if you want to take part in the festivities! *This post may contain affiliate links. Be sure to visit our guide to visiting Disney World during the phased reopening for updated information to guide your vacation planning! Race Registration TipsRunners can register for any of the runDisney events online. These races do sell out quickly! So you will want to pay attention to the exact time registration opens. (And be aware that all times are Eastern Standard Time!) Your registration fee typically includes a shirt, a race bib, and a uniquely-themed medal. Look for your confirmation email once you register. It is worth noting that registration cannot be transferred between individuals, event weekends, or to events that are sold out. Also, if you plan on visiting the parks after you complete the race, you will need to purchase your theme park tickets and make a reservation! (You do NOT need a theme park ticket to race… you only need one if you plan to spend the day in the park.) In the day or two before race day, you will need to stop by the runDisney Health and Fitness Expo at ESPN Wide World of Sports. This is where you will pick up your race bib, shirt, and any merchandise you pre-purchased. There will be runDisney merchandise available for sale, but be prepared for long lines as these are quite popular! (If choose not to go on the first day the runDisney Expo opens, you will have fewer crowds, but sizes may be more limited.) Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend: January 5-8, 2023Undoubtedly one of the most popular runDisney events, this year will mark its 30th anniversary! According to Disney, this year’s event will allow guests to “relive decades of healthy competition with a dose of 90’s retro vibes, iconic Characters, and a glimpse into the runDisney of years of past.” Here is what we know so far:
Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend: February 23-26, 2023Another popular runDisney event, this race weekend brings out the Disney royalty in all who participate, and the 2023 race will mark its 15th anniversary! Newly added in 2022, “Disney Princess Sunrise Yoga” will take place in Magic Kingdom in front of Cinderella’s Castle prior to the park opening.
runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend: April 13-16, 2023This event ultimately replaced the Star Wars Rival Run Weekend, and 2022 marked its inaugural run. The good news is that it will be back in 2023! The course is inspired by fan-favorite races including Expedition Everest 5K (nighttime race that includes a scavenger hunt), Race for the Taste 10K (Ratatouille-themed), and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler (held in the morning rather than at night). Disney also held “Sunrise Yoga” for the 2022 event, so it is likely to return in 2023.While Disney has yet to announce details for the 2023 event, here are the details for the 2022 race weekend to give you an idea of what we might expect:
Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend: November 3-6, 2022This race takes place during Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival and will “explore the music, stories and culinary delights found around World Showcase.”
runDisney Virtual Series: June 1, 2022 – August 13, 2022This summer, guests are invited to take part in celebrating Frozen with runDisney. There are 3 different 5Ks to choose from, and if you choose to run all 3, you will be awarded a uniquely designed fourth medal! Entries will include a themed bib, a commemorative finisher medal, and an at-home themed kit including a downloadable start line, finish line, mile markers, and a finisher certificate.
