 Show 1.0 out of 5 stars Missing rear sight & front sight was a FAKE The package came in and was missing the rear sight. I called Amazon and the issue was resolved right away. However, after reviewing the front sight, I noticed that I was sent a generic sight (fake magpul) It didn’t even have any of the Magpul markings or logo you can see in the pictures. Although plastic and not metal, these are very high quality and I'm completely satisfied with my purchase, and after receiving them would now prefer the plastic to metal. The only minor difficulty was that the front sight's fit for installation was very snug for my Picatinny rail and took some patience to position properly prior to tightening it, but both sights look and operate great. Not a giant fan of the installation which is quite tight. If I was installing another set it would go easier now understanding the process. For me once the screw was removed I had to come to an understanding of the force required to slide it in place. Once I understood that the rear sight was easier. When I fired the rifle for the first time I wanted to use and adjust the pop up sights first and then the red dot. Full disclosure I had adjusted the front sight UP based on a cheap bore laser. Shouldn’t have done that. My first 3 rounds off of a bench at 25 yards were less than an inch in a group but 2” high and 1/2” left. Easy to adjust for that. Once I had the backup sights adjusted which took 12 rounds total I co witnessed the red dot. The red dot was almost spot on and it only took 3 groups of 3 to get acceptable for first day. Over time the dot will undoubtedly get a few very small adjustments for the accuracy the rifle is capable of. 68 grain Hornady match. Personally I am impressed with the accuracy of the backup Magpul sights. I prefer red dot for the ‘both eyes open’ situational awareness but it’s good to have decent back up sights. I was also happy that the backup sights co-witnessed with the Romeo 8h like they were made for each other. By the way my new Sig Sauer MCX Patrol came new with a Magpul folding stock. Apparently Sig likes Magpul just fine. Magpul has become a trusted name and my extra magazines were Magpul, big fan of the window. Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 30, 2022 So I was lucky to help my step dad get into an ar for a really great price a s&w m&p sport 2 for a few bills but there was no rear sight and comes stock with an A2 front fight which is incorporated with the gas block etc, etc I discovered they come with a Magpul mbus flip up rear sight no problem got it and wow what a great sight my first impression was it was a metal alloy of some sort but it is composite much better built than many composite items I've experienced I really thought it was metal. The mount for pickitiny rails isn't like others I've experienced where you unscrew the hardware and one side of the mount slides out for you to put it over the tail instead I had to remove the hardware and also remove my charger handle and bcg then slide the sight over the end and down the rail to where I want it to rest put the hardware back in tightened it down and went to sight in on a target it set perfect at install holds zero past the three hundred rounds pops put thru it. Honestly I was blown away by the whole sight from the materials and the quality in design to the satisfying click when engaging and disengaging this sight. You need an awesome gift and definitely calmed my nerves about ordering online at least from this company. Will definitely suggest to anybody in the future that I see might need upgrades and will purchase another rear sight and a couple full sets was looking at the mbus pro possibly give those a shot considering the reviews many starting that they are a step above these and I find that almost impossible. Amazon has the best price I have found on these. Absolute co witness with these sights are my go to. You can easily dye any color sight black as well.
