RatingComment 08/23/2022 The 2 things keeping me here: the excellent professors and the proximity to buddy brew. I genuinely feel like I'm learning which is all I want, but I can't say the same for others. It's the least diverse environment of rich Northeasterners, and as a Tampa native, I feel like the out of townie, which would have been cool if they weren't shells. 08/03/2022 I have had mixed emotions about this school. I will be a junior and I love the area and the campus but the faculty and administration is not the best and the expenses to just be in the school and city are ridiculous. No school spirit and lots of different groups so fitting in can feel hard sometimes. Overall the area makes up for any cons for me. 07/26/2022 eh 06/21/2022 I just graduated from the university of tampa and want to give my honest opinion. There is no diversity, no clubs, no inclusion, no black people, and academically it is not that good. The campus and location are good and that means things are more expensive here. Rents and food off campus is expensive and getting more expensive. DO NOT COME HERE. 05/25/2022 Only come here if you are from Long Island and are going to study Business Administration. If not, DO NOT COME HERE. You can go to a way better university for a better price. Utampa is a bad university. Nice campus and weather (those are all the pros) No diversity, mid professors, expensive af, rats in some dorm, yes, rats (I know, it's disgusting) 05/25/2022 I recently transferred from UTampa to another school in Florida. UTampa has just a few pros and lots of cons. Pros: Nice campus and weather. Cons: Bad academics, no clubs on campus, so no one gets involved. No housing, expensive, terrible food, and no diversity. The students are all prissy rich kids compiled into one school. It is a challenge to find a genuine person that doesn't have daddy's money to waste. The food is tasteless and staff is not that friendly. Also food is really expensive for students. 01/25/2022 The University of Tampa is an interesting school. It is a small school where you know everyone. The school is placed right next to the city and close to the clubs (awful clubs btw). The food is horrendous and i'm so down bad for it. I never have enough meal swipes to get me through the week. The education is challenging but worth it. 01/18/2022 clean city with plenty of nice bars and restaurants. 01/18/2022 Unless you are huge into partying and don't care about academics, UT is the place for you. It is hard to feel challenged academically when everyone around you gives 0 effort into their work. Goodluck finding friends if you're not into partying, I'm two years in and haven't met a single nice person.
