She doesn t even go here

Source: Mean Girls

Speaker: Damian Leigh

She doesn't even go here.

Context

This line was spoken by Damian Leigh (played by Daniel Franzese) in Mean Girls, directed by Mark Waters (2004).

Damian is the beating heart of Mean Girls, and his finest hour comes when he dons a blue towel/hoodie thing and sunglasses, and yells out that a student at the special assembly isn't enrolled at their high school. And then, the girl runs off in a panic.

It's kind of sad because who wouldn't want "a cake filled with rainbows and smiles" in the middle of the bullying and drama of high school. But Damian snaps the assembly back into order so that the girls can continue to vent about Regina George and her nefarious Plastics.

We hope that somewhere out there, "Crying Girl" is enjoying a tasty, colorful cake of smiles, even if she doesn't go to Northshore High.

Where you've heard it

This quote is extra handy when you're in a crowded lecture hall, and some random person keeps asking the teacher long-winded, pointless questions. Are they really in the class, or are they just there because they "have a lot of feelings?"

If you love this quote, you can get it immortalized in an ugly Christmas sweater.

Pretentious Factor

If you were to drop this quote at a dinner party, would you get an in-unison "awww" or would everyone roll their eyes and never invite you back? Here it is, on a scale of 1-10.

She doesn t even go here

Maybe publicly pointing out the fact that someone doesn't belong somewhere isn't the most socially graceful, but sometimes it's necessary.

But did you know the 'she doesn't even go here' girl is actually in The Haunting of Bly Manor?! We know, minds blown.

Eagle eyed Mean Girls fans were quick to notice a familiar face in the recent Netflix series, and quickly realised the actress - Jill Morrison who plays a wedding guest in the creepy show - was actually 'crying girl' in Mean Girls.

Jill made an appearance in the cult movie towards the end, when Cady, Gretchen, Karen and the other girls gathered in the school gym to read out apologies to people they had hurt.

Need a reminder?! We won't judge, check out the clip below:

In the scene, Jill says: "I just wish we could all get along in middle school like we used to.

"I wish that I could bake a cake made out of rainbows and smiles and we'd all eat and be happy." At which point Damian chimes in: "She doesn't even go here!"

Ms Norbury then asks: "Do you even go to this school?" And - through tears - Jill replies: "No, I just have a lot of feelings."

ICONIC!

And Haunting of Bly Manor fans had a surprise when they saw Jill in the supernatural series, too. Jill plays a wedding guest and features twice in the thriller.

One fan wrote on Twitter: "Isn't that the crying girl from Mean Girls? At the end of Bly Manor?"

While another said: "I KNEW I RECOGNIZED HER FROM SOMEWHERE."

A quick check on Jill's iMDB profile and it seems the fans are correct! Jill has also starred in Project Blue Book and To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.

Our minds are completely blown!
