Thank you so much for replying!

I am trying to transfer from Fido to Public Mobile. What should I do? Should I purchase a new plan and SIM card first?

Can I do without changing my phone number?

Thank you again!

If you already a PM account, you can port your FIDO number to PM.

If you want a new PM account,

1.  Buy a SIM card

2.  Activate you new PM plan with a number provided by PM.

3.  Test the PM service

4.  You can port your FIDO number to PM after your are happy with the PM service and everything are working.

Hi guys! Yesterday I bought some MetroPCS phones and seem to be having trouble activating them. I am trying to activate on their website, only to find that I can't get it to work. Under activation, I entered my zip code and IMEI, but when it asks for the "SIM Number", NONE of the numbers on the SIM card or the Micro SIM work. Anyone know which number it is? I'm confused and need my phone for work!

    Any help is appreciated!

Here is a pic of what it asks. Doesn't give me any info as to what number it is.

I ended up calling them. Apparently they are having a minor issue with the website not recognizing SIM card numbers. All is well now! Glad I went with MetroPCS though... great price and the T-Mobile network is very strong in my area.

Why is my SIM card number 19 digits?

The ICCID is a globally unique serial number—a one-of-a-kind signature that identifies the SIM card itself. It stands for Integrated Circuit Card ID, a 19- or 20-digit number that's typically printed on the back of a SIM card. The ICCID isn't the only identification number visible on most SIM cards.

What's your SIM card number? Your SIM card number is the 19-digit number printed on the SIM card holder, under the barcode. If you don't have the card holder any more, don't worry - the number's also printed on the back of the SIM card itself.
