My soil has very little nutrients, even my water tests negative for any minerals. I got this and about mid day, I made a slurry in a five gallon bucket and gave the whole garden a "light" drink as I wanted to ensure I didn't burn or outright kill them. Then a light watering to soaked it down into the soil. I didn't expect an overnight success lol but was completely blown away then next morning, my squash was the first thing I noticed, they had gone into overdrive or something as they had overnight bushed out like they were on steroids. The rest of the garden had popped too. I'm glad I only did a light feeding but will be doing another one in about another week just to keep them happy. Will definitely be reordering this product. Lord knows I wish you could by it by the truckload. Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2022 Great product for the value, appreciate the fast delivary, plants grow super fast and healthy Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2022 Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2022 Great for small garden. Not cost effective for larger gardens, but some awesome fertilizer for growing trees. Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2021 I don't like the smell but with that said WOW! I started adding this into my soil pots and I make a fertilizer tea with it .... since I've been using this my plants are healthyer then ever Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2022 This compost is the same or similar to what I get from the chicken farm where I used to live. So far works on mostly sandy soil. I mixed it with Potting soil on container pots, my cucumbers, zucchini and yellow Squash perk up once I added this compost. It works on other container plants as well, so I am happy I bought it. Which chicken manure is best? The high nitrogen and balanced nutrients are the reason that chicken manure compost is the best kind of manure to use. But the high nitrogen in the chicken manure is dangerous to plants if the manure has not been properly composted. Raw chicken manure fertilizer can burn, and even kill plants.
How much does a ton of chicken manure cost? What have we learned? It was found that the value of poultry manure as a complete fertilizer (N,P,K) varied from $18.91 to $107.01 per ton depending of component prices (N, P, K), moisture content, and the amount of bedding used.
Can you put fresh chicken manure straight on the garden? While the deep litter produced by poultry farms might be suitable for direct garden use, domestic poultry litter is generally unsuitable for this purpose. Used fresh, it could burn plant roots, attract vermin and foxes, and would also be unattractive in appearance.
How much chicken manure should I add to my soil?If your garden plot will be left dormant in cooler months, fresh manure can be spread over the soil at a ratio of approximately 50 pounds per 100 square feet once the fall harvest is complete. Till the plot to turn the manure into the soil.
