The S-Classes that I Raised Blackie
Spoiler Alert: Stop right there! This page contains spoilers. Read at your own risk.

Han Yoojin (한유진 Han Yu-jin) is the protagonist of the novel The S-Classes I Raised. This novel follows Yoojin on his adventure when he regresses back in time to prevent his brother's death, who sacrificed himself.

Appearance[]

Han Yoojin has pale skin and black hair with bangs that reach up to his black eyes. He considers his build to be thinner compared to Moon Hyuna's and his build before his regression.[1]

He is often seen wearing a black choker with a blue gem, a bracelet, and red pair of earrings. He's drawn with a white shirt with black arms and some kind of jacket, usually a leather black one. He wears fingerless gloves.

Personality[]

From being neglected and losing his parents where it was up to him to take care of his little brother, Han Yoojin has grown up being a caregiver for all his life, finding it normal that he takes care of those he considers part of his family and friends and would instinctively risk his health and wellbeing in making sure they would be fine, especially for his little brother. Although this causes those around him to become worried, stating it would be preferably better if he does not get involved, Han Yoojin finds it difficult to be the one left out of a problem, as well as letting go of his care for others, which contrasts to his goal of wanting to live a peaceful, responsibility-free life.

Even in the previous timeline, after being cut off by Han Yoohyun, Han Yoojin always had thought it was his fault for not being born as an S-class hunter like his brother, developing an inferiority complex and believes he needed to prove himself worthy in order to bring his little brother back to him. Unfortunately, this lead him to make poor decisions, which causes him to be heavily criticised by the public, leading him to falling in a state of depression. Though, this does not stop him from doing his utmost best and to try whatever it takes to get his brother back to him. His lack of confidence in himself remains even in the new timeline which causes him to deals poorly with his emotions. Even a praise or a small act of care, generally from anyone other than Han Yoohyun causes him to fluster.

Han Yoojin is very biased towards the people he loves (Yoo Myeongwoo, Bak Yerim), most especially his little brother and can become sarcastic and rude to those he doesn’t particularly like. He is able to bicker and talk back to hunters whose class are above him (due to the lack of fear caused by his fear resistance) which doesn’t fail to shock others, a proper description of him would be ‘a confident deer among wolves’. He is also capable actor and liar, able to trick an S-class hunter without being caught, though loses if he is being challenged on a lie.

On the other hand, Han Yoojin is very ruthless towards enemy, especially to those that hurt the people closest to him. He does not hesitate to kill them, though to some extent he feels guilt as he is still human regardless. Although he is capable in handling his kidnapping affairs thanks to his fighting experience before his regression, he acts as a damsel in distress, preferably wanting to keep a low profile even if it raises suspicions as to why the enemies have already been wiped out.

Equipments[]

  • Stat Drop Contract (S) - Duration is 1 year.[2]
  • Skill Seal Contract (S) - Duration is 1 month.[2]
  • Black Fairy Earrings (A) - bought from the Hunter Association, the earrings can raise a person's mana status by 28 and increase a C-Class equipment's stat by 5-6 points.[2] He later loses the earrings after his kidnapping incident.
  • Manticore Leather Gloves (A) - increases stamina and strength.[2]
  • Lightweight Belt (B) - increases agility.[2]
  • Red Earrings (S) - gifted by Sung Hyunjae, the earrings work similar to the Black Fairy Earrings, with the addition that is has a rare B-rank shield that can be activated by the user.[3]
  • Yoo Eunhye (L) - is a bluebird contracted with Han Yoojin that has the ability to transform as an accessory (mainly bracelet or necklace). Eunhye has the nullification ability where it minimizes the damage upon Han Yoojin.[4]

  • He is noted to be bad at naming things. In Bak Yerim's words, his "naming sense is like an ahjussi's", though he himself believes his choices are intuitive and easy to understand.[9]
    • While everyone has their proper names, Sung Hyunjae is the only person in Han Yoojin’s contacts who gets a nickname, being, “Skill.”
    • Ironically, Han Yoojin had thought Han Yoohyun to be bad at naming things, though this may not be true as the names Han Yoohyun came up for Irin were rejected by Irin, as its rather picky in choosing its name.
  • Without his L-ranked Fear Resistance, Han Yoojin often gets nightmares of Han Yoohyun dying in his previous life. The only way he stops getting nightmares is by sleeping next to Han Yoohyun.
