2022 Honda Civic oil change cost

I usually avoid dealers at all cost for anything. Just curious what is the average price on a oil change for a new Civic? I am assuming it will be more than average with full synthetic like most other fast change oil locations. Just sorta wondering, as I change oil more frequent, I generally run full synthetic only around 4-4500 miles max. Which I know is overkill for the stuff, but it makes me sleep well at night. My point is that I know an oil change at a dealer can be some hours! Other places geared for only oil changes are faster. So curious to know if the Honda oil change is pricey?

I pay $60.54. And anytime I’m gonna get my oil changed, I get there 1 hour before they open and it takes them about 45min to get it done

Been in multiple scenarios where they try to upsell, tell you something is wrong when it isn't, tell you service needs to be done when it clearly doesn't according to the user's manual. Many (not all) times that I've been to the dealer in the past, the mechanics are unable to answer basic questions that I ask about the car or what they're doing and why they're doing it. I have so much distrust that in my head I'm convinced they would purposely mess with something just so you spend money to fix it with them.

Haven't done my first oil change yet. Only around 5000 km right now. But will likely purchase the oil filter from the dealership, take it to my mechanic who I've been with for years. He said he would do it with a full synthetic for around $50 CAD given I bring the filter.

At my dealer its $69.99 for synthetic oil and then $20 for tire rotation. The $600 maintenance plan sounds better every time I see the oil change price and slowly considering on getting it since seems like oil change prices are getting higher and higher.

i got my first one done at the dealship and ill do the rest of them on my own, i will purchase the filter from them and i usually get my oil from canadian tire or NAPA

My dealership gave me a card for $39.95 oil changes; we'll see if they actually hold to that.

It's so important to use an upper grade (if possible) dealership, much of what you described, sounds like a "fly by night" sneaky mechanic! But unfortunately, even the good dealerships charge top dollar per hour of labour

That's the issue with dealerships and the varying quality you receive. Even within the same dealer, you'll have good service managers and techs and bad ones, which is why I like to take my Honda's during their MFG warranty to my trusty honest mechanic and provide him with the oil and filter (I prefer Mobil1 oil and Fram Ultra Synthetic filers and get them when they're on sale at Canadian Tire)

Why don't do it yourself? That way you know the job is well done and is more cheaper.

WHAT! That"s $370 CAN. Is it a gold filter and new tires? Here in Niagara falls ,Ontario 92 tax incl for an oil change and for tire rotation i am not sure.I believe you paid way too much.Stay far away from that stealership.

I got two free, but once that done I'll try the dealer who sold me my gen 10. They always send me these 24.95 coupons, but I suspect they may be using blend, and they try to upsell - like last time they wanted to flush CVT and replace brake fluid - at 40k. Most likely I'll buy a box of filters, Costco oil, and do it myself.
