Shimenawa does more damage with your charged attacks, but you lose out on your Q usage (which limits your AOE and self-heal). Damage wise overall, they're pretty comparable, but CW personally wins out since it doesn't ruin her burst. Shim can be better if you can kill in one rotation. The only issue is that farming CW is a bitch, whereas farming Shim is pretty efficient since you can get EOSF pieces for other characters. level 2 I disagree, SR can do more damage than CW even in reaction comps bcs (i could be wrong) i'm pretty sure that the reaction multiplier is applied after the artifact set bonus is applied. level 2 I had asked the question before in the Keqing Main TC discord. Shimenawa's can generally give you more dmg, but the thing is it's linked to how good you are with Hu Tao. The better you are at animation cancelling, the better Shimenawa's can be because of the disgusting amount of extra CAs you can get and it can exceed CW, but CW is better if you don't want to do animation cancels. The person I talked to was a TC'er who's doing a new Hu Tao guide for the KQM discord, jstern, if you want to hit the person up. level 1 shimenawa will give you higher charge atks, but lower burst dmg- requires you to have energy at all times to get the boost (not a big deal) crimson witch is just generally good for both, no perks needed for bonuses level 1 SR is fine. You'll have great NA damage but you won't be able to E > Q in a pinch. CW is well-rounded. Basically 22.5% Pyro Bonus and 80 EM. 2CW mix-set will get the job done. 15% Pyro Bonus + whatever mix set you chose to throw in. SR will be more resin efficient because many supports benefit from Emblem set. CW is in a pool with LW which is a really niche set. Arguably longer to farm to due to the waves. Don't be afraid to experiment with mix sets. So long as you have great substats, you can never go wrong. level 1 shimenawa gives big basic damage buff but removes to usefulness of her ult. crimson witch has lower basic damage but allows you to nuke with her ult level 1 For Vape - Crimson Witch. Ive seen a couple guides for childe and they all say that blackcliff warbow is ok but don’t “waste” your star glitter unless you have it already. I was going to use Amos’ bow on him (had extremely good artifacts, crit rate and dmg on all pieces except the goblet) until all of my artifacts rolled into def, hp and em which left me with 89% crit dmg (55 crit rate) which meant I kinda needed the warbow if I wanted a good ratio. It might not be his best in slot but it works, and that’s all that matters! Just go with what you need/have level 1 4pc Shimenawa’s Reminiscence provides higher AA damage than 4CW but lowers your Elemental Burst damage which hurts your AoE damage, also if you're unable to burst, it might cause survivability issues if you're not running a healer level 1 Honestly I have both for her and I prefer Shimenawa. Hu Tao’s best artifacts: 4x Crimson Witch of Flames vs. 2x Crimson Witch of Flames and 2x Gladiator’s Finale/Noblesse Oblige vs. 4x LavawalkerThe most obvious choice here for Hu Tao’s best artifact set in Genshin Impact is the Crimson Witch of Flames. You can farm it from the Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula domain. The two-piece set bonus gives her +15% Pyro damage. Meanwhile, the four-piece set bonus grants the following effects:
Naturally, Hu Tao’s elemental skill cooldown would mean that the stacks won’t be able to ramp up quickly. This is far different from what you’d experience with Diluc’s or Klee’s capabilities with this set. For the most part, though, the 4-piece bonus is used if you want to maximize elemental reactions. Anyway, one of my go-to combinations is the Crimson Witch of Flames artifact set and the Gladiator’s Finale set. The two-piece Gladiator’s bonus grants +18% ATK, so you can have that plus the Crimson Witch of Flames’ two-piece bonus too. Alternatively, you can go for the full four-piece bonus solely from the Gladiator’s Finale set. It gives +35% ATK if the wearer uses a sword, claymore, or polearm. Conversely, you can drop the 2x Gladiator’s Finale set in favor of 2x Noblesse Oblige. This is primarily if you want to boost her elemental burst/ult further. Sadly, I’m already using decent-rolled Noblesse pieces on Bennett, Mona, and Xingqiu. I couldn’t afford to hand the Noblesse pieces to Hu Tao and gimp these characters since they’re needed for burst nuke comps. Lastly, another option seems to be the Lavawalker artifact set. The two-piece bonus is next to useless since it only grants you Pyro resistance. But, the four-piece bonus allows you to deal +35% damage against Pyro-afflicted opponents. Artifact stat priorities
Ideally, the artifacts should roll with crit rate, crit damage, and ATK% as sub-stats. If possible, try to have HP or HP% sub-stats in those artifacts as well. Hu Tao’s HP-to-ATK scaling is ridiculously high, so you’ll want her to have a huge health pool. Likewise, take note of her weapon’s sub-stat. If you’re using Staff of Homa (crit damage sub-stat), then try to have around 30% crit rate. The weapon, artifact rolls, and Hu Tao’s ascension will already take care of crit damage for you. Conversely, if you’re using Deathmatch (crit rate sub-stat), then you’ll want to have extra crit damage.
