What channel do cowboys play on sunday

With "America's team" going against the reigning Super Bowl champs, making this "America's Game of the Week" for Week 5 of the NFL season was essentially a no-brainer. With that in mind, the Cowboys' trip to SoFi Stadium to take on the Rams will draw plenty of warranted attention.

After an uninspiring loss and an injury to Dak Prescott in Week 1, Dallas has rallied around its defense and backup quarterback Cooper Rush to ring off three straight wins and enter Week 5 with a 3-1 record. With the unclear details surrounding Prescott's potential return in Week 5, it appears that Rush will again be tasked with leading the Dallas offense. In Prescott's absence, Rush has gone 3-0, completed 61.8 percent of his passes and thrown four touchdowns. Meanwhile, the Cowboys' "finger-lickin' special" pass rush is up to 15 sacks on the season, good for second behind the Eagles (16).

Dallas' defensive pressure could cause problems for the Rams, who failed to score a touchdown in a 24-9 loss to the 49ers on Monday night. Los Angeles allowed seven sacks and committed two turnovers on the night, one of which was a pick-six that effectively put the game away in the fourth quarter.

It's been a rough go this season for Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, who has thrown more interceptions (six) than touchdowns (four) and has been sacked 16 times. One bright spot on offense for the Rams has been Cooper Kupp, who has caught three of Stafford's four touchdown passes and has a league-high 42 receptions through four weeks. With time, the connection between Stafford and Kupp could keep Dallas' secondary busy.

If it's a Super Bowl hangover impacting the Rams, they'll look to get over it on Sunday as they face a tough test in the Cowboys, who look to keep the momentum going by extending their win streak.

Dan Campbell said after the Lions' Week 5 loss to the Patriots that he believed his team hit "rock bottom," a statement that will be put to the test on Sunday.

The Cowboys could represent an even greater challenge for Detroit, with Dak Prescott on track to return from a thumb injury that cost him five games. Powered by a dominant defense, Dallas went 4-1 in his absence and could quickly morph into one of the NFL's most complete teams if Prescott's return jumpstarts the offense.

The Lions' impressive offense was humbled by New England two weeks ago. Can a bye help get the unit back on track? It'll certainly help the offense get healthier. Amon-Ra St. Brown and D'Andre Swift both dealt with injuries ahead of the bye but should be good to go in Dallas on Sunday.

Beyond the skill positions, Detroit will need the full force of its offensive line to withstand the Cowboys' pass-rush attack. This Micah Parsons-led defense has made life difficult for quarterbacks all season, and a highly-talented line will need to step up and ensure Jared Goff has time to throw.

Despite being 4-2 through six weeks, the Cowboys sit third in the NFC East and will need all the help they can get if they want to climb back into that race. On the other hand, the Lions are quickly sinking at 1-4 and can't afford to lose a fourth consecutive game if they want to be in the playoff conversation late in the year.
