After checking the digital readout, I was reading 130 PSI. Luckily, the engine is running just fine and not gushing oil, so I'm pretty sure it's the sensor that's bad. Now, aside from buying and installing a new sensor, I was told to try disconnecting the batter for 30 minutes first, and seeing if that doesn't fix anything. Has anyone else had this problem? Also, if I disconnect the battery, will I have to reset anything? Are there any other side affects to disconnecting the battery? Thanks in advance! Instructor

Don't know about the battery and reset thing, but, classic sender unit problem. Put your ignition key in and turn it to "ON" but don't start the engine and see if it does the same thing. If so, replace the unit. Might want to relocate it now, so the next time it won't take as long. There is a thread here about cutting a hole in the tray below the wiper tray to access it rather then removing the intake manifold. I cut the hole and bought a relocate kit that was very well made. Now, when it goes out again, and it will with the cheaply made units and the location they are in, it will be a much easier job. 6th Gear Thread Starter

There's a few different ways you can go with it. I chose not to do the relocate but I did replace the sensor with the brass Buick sensor (after the first stock replacement only lasted 3 weeks).
